Floyd - started hunting deer and small game in 1977 and have taken many deer with both gun and bow. I now prefer to bow hunt, I started hunting black bear in 1999, since then I have hunted black bear in Wisconsin and three Canadian provinces, Quebec, Ontario, and Manitoba. I have taken 11 bear all with archery equipment including two that qualify for the Pope and Young record books. I have also harvested a Pope and Young Canadian moose in Ontario using archery equipment. Since 1999, My wife Linda and I have operated Big Woods Taxidermy LLC in Oconto Falls Wisconsin, which is a full time studio with our major focus being on black bear. We take in 100 plus black bear yearly which gives us a very intricate knowledge of the black bear. We live bears and bear hunting as our brochure says "Let's talk bear hunting".
Linda - started hunting in 2000, both archery and gun. I have taken a lot of nice whitetails, including a Pope and Young buck in 2008. In 2003 I started the bear hunting addiction. Since then I've taken 9 bears, 2 with the gun, and 7 with archery, including one Pope and Young bear in 2005. I've hunted in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, and Wisconsin. Since 1999, my husband Floyd and I have operated Big Woods Taxidermy LLC, in Oconto Falls Wisconsin, which is a full time studio with our major focus on black bear.
